When you were born you cried and the world rejoiced Live your life so when you die the world cries and you'll rejoiced When you fell you cried and your blood rushed out Love your blood so when you fall Your love spreads out to the world When you rest you heard all the noise around Sing a song so when you'll rest they can sing over their tears

1. When the bread tastes like rain And the rain doesn’t hush The birds fly on and off But you’re forever on the clock Hold on the lines ‘til the Captain calls the drop Hold on the lines Even after the last drop 2. I’ve got no bag to pack I’ll leave behind my coat I’m sick of this rocking ship Even if land has no good tip 3. If your compass is wrong Blame it on your few penny You’ve been throwing around In every jar of whiskey 4. There ain’t much time to sip A sweet numbing liquor Nor more time to kiss Her rosehip lips get bitter

Every Monday morning, I put my glasses on Through the many scratches, I can still see the sun Same old same old stories You keep walking through The same old, same old story loop Tuesday by the evening Pouring new oil on the cogs Need to run this engine like a dog Wednesday afternoon, My feet are soaking wet The fire’s low at home and nothing’s drying yet Thursday night I’m bored Of this cold n’ tasteless rice If I was rich I’d give it to the mice Friday on my knees Begging for a bread Lord told me I’d get more before I’d be dead The weekend never comes ‘cause the neighbor needs a hand I wouldn’t let them lonely carrying the pain

So the road 03:01
So, the road is long, and you think, you'll never be back. So, the road is long, and you think, you'll never be back So, you've been walking far until the city ends, on a narrow lane So, you think that everything changed but your haircut still the same Cause you've been waiting, walking, and running through a dark cloud And always, whispering A song to your soul Trying, not to lose your hope in the mess But falling once or twice Don’t worry you’ll stand up So, you're now at the end of the road You’ve got ahead a clear new ground So, the road was long, you wanna keep on moving on.

Loose lines 03:31
Maybe my lines are loose Maybe I catch the wind But I’ve been told That I’m hard to catch If my feet stand on stone But my head climbs aloft Will I see your shadow Or will I just split up There’s no chance, you can tie me still I might just leave with the next tide Once my lines are untied Might not get the chance to kiss goodbye What if my lines are tangled And drop down the wrong net Will I dare to jump Or avoid getting wet I can tell the north on a cloudy sky But I've been told that I'm hard to catch Is there a chance, you can tie me still I might just drift with the next tide Once my lines are untied you might not get the chance to kiss goodbye Goodbye sweet lines Catch the wind Let it spin

Poem in Gm 02:40
Curves and curls are growing wild While straight lines are covered in ice If the sun can’t shine through your eyes Your tears are gonna help them to try When you choose, you leave behind What made up, your previous mind Waves and winds will flow and blow Where silence and peace try to grow Ghosts will follow you around Until you tear your old houses down

Mama tell me why it’s worth I learn the alphabet If there’s no one around to hear me say Is it some kind of magic trick that I don’t get, Or is it just me who’s lost the bet I’ve got a hammer in my bag But I never carry the nails No luck I can’t hang a rag up But I can tear down this shed Baby, you gotta learn your alphabet Who’s gonna read you stories when I’ll be dead There’s no secret to love but blood and pain The sun will rise and set on every day You’ve got a hammer in your bag But never carry the nails No luck you can’t hang a rag You gotta focus on the pace Mama let me tell you my alphabet It got new letters caught in the net Diamonds don’t shine when covered in dirt But they still the hardest rock to crack I’ve got a hammer in my bag And couple nails around With luck I can hang a rag And surely can build a shed

Souvenir 03:27
Wild flowers someday will fade Still the best cookies are quick to bake Sweet treats make your pain A little less clogging the drain You picked me up at half passed three We were headed down to the Big Easy You had a shotgun house near mid-city Tic toc, can you hear the ticking clock Switch gear, it’s time to change lane You melt my heart with an ice cream cone You kinda knew that I was far from home Even if I thought that I could belong The parade trucks threw beads at us But you never threw a ring at me Even if I sang you your fave lullabies Now the marching bands strolling down Esplanade Hang on if you doubt you can carry on I had my ticket home and a bag to pack And you kept on holding back You showed how to throw rock down on the tracks But you missed the train, now the river’s high The steamboat ain’t picking random guys You gotta to find another wheel to drive The marching band still strolling down on Esplanade Are you seriously just switching lane Tic toc, you could hear my ticking clock Sorry love, it's too late to change lane

It’s time to grab, this blue ink stick And try to stab the paper with Or try this red marker Would maybe help you to tear the fiber Cause you're dealing with…the blank page syndrome I hope you're soon to this RPM last song I'm dealing with, the blank page syndrome you're going through this RPM last song. I grabbed a cup of tea, and poured in some honey I guess too much coffee, gets me a little jittery Did I really eat that whole jar of cooky? Now my brain is feeding on crumbs, I got no more words to add to this verse I'm dealing with…the blank page syndrome I'm going through this RPM last song I'm dealing with, the blank page syndrome Am I through this RPM last song. I say around, these are the last words That I wrote down, to try to make it work. But in fact, I wrote these on the 10th of month, not even half done through the 6th song, guess it'll be long 'Cause…this blank page syndrome I'm not even with my RPM last song I'm dealing with, the blank page syndrome I guess I'm through this RPM last song. I got it through this RPM last song I made it through this RPM last song

Thanks to the local music fam who's an encouraging crowd, and thanks to the ones who, despite the distance, are still whispering me kind words to grow.
Un clin d'oeil à une amie Marilynn, who told me a year ago, after my first gig in town at the Ship, that I could soon be ready to get my hands on songwritting. It took a while, but kept it in mind.
Thank you my parents, music teachers and friends who gave me rides to and from practices, gigs, lessons, or feedback on my clumsly attempts, and sticked around to listen. Thanks you for your time.
